Wesley Fofana updates after he was substituted against AC Milan

Wesley Fofana has just limped off injured after 36 minutes of Chelsea’s game against AC Milan in the Champions League.

The defender appeared to twist his knee when challenging with Rafeal Leao. He attempted to carry on, but it looked like the cautious decision was made and the France international was removed.

He had scored the only goal of the game so far, but picked up the injury soon after and had been moving gingerly.

We will always have injury worried with the summer signing’s fitness because of the broken leg had for Leicester a year ago. That can cause long terms issues in other parts of the body. This one looked like a jar, and not too serious however.

It meant first minutes of the season for Trevoh Chalobah since the game against Leicester back in August. The Englishman has been deep on the depth chart, but tonight was throw into action at a crucial moment.

Welsey Fofana left the game against AC Milan tonight after picking up a knee injury, and after the game he was seen leaving Stamford Bridge on crutches.
