‘We already discussed’ – Chelsea transfer target hints at Blues completing €11m transfer

Dynamo Moscow midfielder Arsen Zakharyan has joked to Sport Express that he will be playing with Joao Felix at Chelsea.

Dynamo Moscow midfielder Arsen Zakharyan has joked to Sport Express that he will be playing with Joao Felix at Chelsea.

The Portugal international has almost confirmed a move to Stamford Bridge. He will join on loan until the end of the season.

It is unclear whether he will be pursued for anytime further than this season, with the news that he is set to extend his contract with Atletico Madrid before making the temporary switch.

Zakharyan meanwhile was strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer, as part of a young set of signings brought in to the club.

They did complete deals for Gabriel Slonina, Cesare Casadei and Carney Chukwuemeka, whilst also completing the free transfer of Omari Hutchinson.

While the deal didn’t get over the line due to reasons outside of football, reports have still linked the Blues with a move to bring in the teenager.

Zakharyan ready to play with Felix

Zakharyan has now joked that he is ready to feature alongside Felix in the Chelsea attack for the rest of this season.

He said: “We are already solving this with the club, agents. What and how it’ll be – I myself can not say. I don’t know, I don’t have a plane in 2 hours.

“We have already discussed everything with him [Felix] – he is on the left, I am in the centre [laughs].”

Chelsea fans may not have seen a lot about the 19-year-old’s young career, however they should be excited when looking at some of the stats from his last 12 months.

He was the most creative U21 player in Europe in 2022, even ousting Benfica’s Enzo Fernandez.

Chelsea attempted to complete the signing of Fernandez earlier this month, however fell short of the release clause which the Portuguese side were looking for.
