[Video] Raheem Sterling finally reveal why Graham Potter is tactically better than Thomas Tuchel
Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling explains why Graham Potter is better than Thomas Tuchel tactically after major change against RB Salzburg.
Sterling was glad to tell the difference between the two managers since he had played under both and could easily verify who was better.
According to his views, Chelsea supporters should look past Tuchel’s dismissal and focus on the positives of Graham Potter’s entrance as Chelsea manager, as Sterling confirms the Manager’s tactical soundness.
Sterling is a player that prefers to play as a defender rather than a striker. Sterling was overjoyed to be playing in his natural position against Salzburg, something that does not appear to happen under Tuchel.
Most players were allowed to return to their natural positions. Mount played right flank and occasionally slid into the midfield, while Kai Havertz played behind Aubameyang as a 10 (his natural position).
These were what Sterling said in regards to the comparison.
“[I was] playing in a slightly different role, and I enjoy playing out wide.”
“It’s a bad result in the end but I think we played some good football at times”
“I’m playing in a slightly different role here with the manager, it’s one I enjoy”
