The sale, If it goes through, would be for 100% of the club. Chelsea recently had lunch with the current owner, there has been no official bid yet.
It’s thought that Todd Boehly would like to make the club gain value and feels it could be especially beneficial for loan players from Chelsea to develop them.
Chelsea have been searching for clubs to kickstart their multi club model for the last couple of months. As well as France, it is thought that Portugal and Belgium could be ideal countries to invest in.
Neil Bath is thought to be big in the decision making process, he had been head of youth development but gained a promotion to more global Chelsea matters.
The recruitment team is fully in place now with both Joe Shields and Lawrence Stewart starting work over the last few weeks.
The future is bright but results are needed at present to stop the overwhelming feeling of sadness and anger amongst fans.
