Revealed: One thing holding up Chelsea’s deal to Aubameyang

Chelsea are trying to hand Thomas Tuchel the striker who he has asked for this summer transfer window, but it is a deal that has been dragging on.

It’s got to the point now where the big decisions need to be made on this deal and whether they need to walk away and pursue a different target or not. Because this has turned into another one of those transfer sagas, and it is still currently not clear whether the deal will get over the line or not.

But the one major issue holding it up right now is Chelsea trying to make Marcos Alonso part of the same deal, whereas it was always believed Barcelona wanted to do that deal separately. So the bottom line is, there is still no agreement on the fee, but talks continue.
