Chelsea considering fresh move for Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo

Chelsea will reportedly try to sign Cristiano Ronaldo should Manchester United terminate his contract this winter.

The 37-year-old, who returned to Old Trafford last season, could be heading towards January exit from the club.

This is coming after he had an unauthorized interview with Piers Morgan where he criticized the club and manager Erik ten Hag.

It is now reported that the Red Devils are ready to offload the Portugual international with talks already underway over a contract termination and an official announcement is expected to be made by the end of next week.

However, according to The Mirror, Chelsea are ready to reignite interest in Ronaldo after missing on a deal for him in the summer.

New owner Todd Boehly tried to bring Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge, but a deal failed to materialized after former Blues manager Thomas Tuchel ruled against it.

With Ronaldo set to become a free agent, Chelsea are drawing up an offer for the Portuguese when he is released.

The news will come as a possible blow for United. Chelsea are currently their direct rivals for a top-four league spot.

In other news, Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to part ways with star player Neymar this summer and Chelsea will try to sign the Brazilian forward.
