REVEALED: Chelsea attacker Raheem Sterling wanted Liverpool return
Chelsea attacker Raheem Sterling wanted to move to Liverpool this summer, it has been revealed.
Sterling left Manchester City for Chelsea at the end of last season.
The Athletic’s Sam Lee is reporting Sterling would have preferred a move to Liverpool in the summer when he left City. However, Jurgen Klopp showed no interest in signing the forward and he instead moved to Chelsea in a 50 million deal.
Sterling is not best loved by Liverpool fans after he departed for City in the summer of 2015 after making 95 appearances for the Reds.
This season, the England ace has struggled consistency at Stamford Bridge.
