Newcastle plotting transfer swoop for three Chelsea stars

The Mirror says Eddie Howe is a fan of his and wants to sign him to add threat to the Magpies wide areas. If Pulisic wants to stay in the Premier League, this could be a great choice for him.

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea during the January transfer window.

According to The Telegraph, Graham Potter would be willing to let Ziyech leave as the 29-year-old has failed to perform consistently since joining in February 2020.

However, the Chelsea boss would be against letting Gallgher and Loftus-Cheek leave as he is concerned about the escalating injury problem within his squad.

All three players could be interested in leaving Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window as they are struggling to cement a place in Potter’s starting XI.

Plus, the January arrivals of Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix and Benoit Badiashile at Chelsea could push them further down Potter’s pecking order.

Loftus-Cheek has been a long-term target for Newcastle. They registered an interest in signing him during the past two summer windows but failed to secure his services.

Newcastle are also keeping tabs on Ruben Neves as they believe the midfielder would be a valuable addition to their squad.

However, Eddie Howe must be cautious with his budget as ‘has been warned that whatever he spends during the January window will be taken from the summer budget’.

It is believed Howe is prioritising signing another central midfield player. However, he is also interested in signing a winger and right-back during the January window.
