Inter Milan director express ‘disappointment’ in losing €20m Italian midfielder to Chelsea
Inter Milan academy director Roberto Samaden has expressed his ‘disappointment’ in letting their youngster Cesare Casadei to join Chelsea.
The 19-year-old moved to England in the summer for a transfer fee believed to be around €20 million. The Italian starred in Chelsea’s Under-21 victory over Dulwich Hamlet FC, netting hat-trick as the Blues claimed a 6-3 victory in the friendly match over the weekend.

Speaking with the reporters, Samaden revealed he was disappointed in losing Casadei to Chelsea but is still happy seeing the youngster flourishing at the London club.
He said: “There’s disappointment at not seeing him in a Nerazzurri shirt anymore, but the joy of seeing him at Chelsea is still real.
“Selling him was an understandable choice from the club’s point of view financially.”
