He is happy under Graham Potter – £110k-a-week Chelsea star wants to remain at Stamford Bridge

"For the first 15 or 20 minutes" – Jorginho finally reveals who to blame for Chelsea 3-0 defeat

According to Ben Jacobs, Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is now keen on extending his at Stamford Bridge, having previously considered an exit from the club.

The 31-year-old’s contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season and the Italy international is hoping to sign an extension.

Speaking on the ChelseaFC365 podcast, Jacobs said: “With Jorginho, it’s a more formative process. The contract talks haven’t really begun in any significant or formal way. I fully expect Chelsea to offer a competitive new deal, it’s just not certain whether he’ll sign one.

“The good news is that Jorginho now, compared to the Jorginho at the beginning of the window, has a different mindset.

“He feels still integral and wanted and he likes the man management of Potter and he believes Chelsea are going to take great strides forward.

“So, he can see the project more than most, and he believes that the club see him as part of it.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea will hold contract talks with Jorginho before Christmas as the Blues look to tie him down to a new contract, according to CaughtOffside.

The report adds a meeting has been scheduled between Chelsea and the representatives of Jorginho.
