Deal done as Chelsea receive GREENLIGHT to sign €50M-rated Dutch attacker
Chelsea are chasing the signing of Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma and could make their move in winter. They are set to offer nearly €40m to secure his services. The Netherlands international has been on the shortlist of several big teams, but the Yellow Submarine have not really received a firm approach in the recent past.
Danjuma enjoyed a stellar campaign last campaign netting ten and assisting another three goals for the Spanish club in La Liga. Arnaut has endured a tough time due to injuries this term but recorded a brace on his comeback with Osasuna.
The 25-year-old forward’s goals helped the La Liga giants register a much-more important victory, but the club now fear some fierce competition regarding his transfer in winter. With Pulisic and Ziyech craving for more playing time, the doors of Chelsea could be opened for the suitors in the January transfer window.
Both footballers have attracted teams in Serie A, including Milan. Apart from the duo, the Blues have very limited options, and Graham Potter wants to add an experienced face to his squad. The Dutch attacker had a brief spell at Bournemouth in the PL and Championship and was involved in 22 goals in the 2020/21 campaign in the English second tier.
So the Dutchman is well acclimatised to the English conditions. And should he arrive in west London, Chelsea could have ready-made resources to be used for them. The London club might offer nearly €40m to secure his services.
