Chelsea working to terminate midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko’s contract
Chelsea are working to terminate midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko’s contract after a disastrous loan spell at AC Milan for the Frenchman.
Deemed surplus to requirements by both clubs, Bakayoko is likely to become a free agent and would be considering his options in the Premier League following an underwhelming stint at San Siro.
Bakayoko has not turned in the AC Milan shirt since May to avoid triggering an automatic £13 million buy clause based on appearances as Milan hope to keep him from reaching the mark of 15 appearances.
According to a report from the Evening Standard, it is claimed that Chelsea would be more than willing to the idea of parting ways with the 28-year-old with the Stamford Bridge camp holding no interest in Bakayoko’s long-term future.
Serie A outfit Monza were keen to bring in the former AS Monaco man but have been scared off by the player’s wage demands which have been considered hefty by his suitors in recent years.
