Todd Boehly’s £12m signing spotted at Chelsea with Man Utd legend ahead of transfer decision.
Chelsea signed Gabriel Slonina from Chicago Fire for a fee in the region of £12million during the summer transfer window before loaning him back to the MLS outfit.
Chelsea summer signing Gabriel Slonina has been spotted in conversation with Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel at Stamford Bridge this evening.
Slonina signed from Chicago Fire in a deal worth around £12million over the summer before returning on-loan to the MLS side until the new year.
The talented youngster is currently back in west London for a two-week training stint as Graham Potter gets a closer look at the goalkeeper who was signed under Thomas Tuchel’s tenure.
Todd Boehly has shown with the signings of Slonina, Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei that he is keen to protect the long-term future of the club by securing deals for some of the most talented youngsters in world football at present, allowing them to continue their development out on loan or at Cobham.
Chelsea are yet to decide whether Slonina will return to the club in the new year or whether he will continue his loan spell with Chicago Fire into the new MLS season.
