Chelsea set to sign this striker in January as Aubameyang nightmare continues
Chelsea could make an approach for another striker in the transfer window amid their woeful Premier League form.
The Blues bolstered their strikeforce with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last summer, but the Gabon star is clearly past his prime.
As a result, manager Graham Potter is eyeing another experienced striker and it appears they could move for Marcus Thuram.
The 25-year-old has been in exemplary form for Borussia Monchengladbach this campaign with 13 goals and four assists.
He could be prised away from the German side for just €15m and Chelsea seem optimistic of luring him in the near future.
Thuram has yet to make a decision regarding his situation. His current contract with his club expires in the summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea recently unveiled young striker David Datro Fofana, but he is unlikely to play a big role this term.
Potter has already confirmed that the Ivorian is one for the future and he may not be involved much in the current season.
