The 29-year-old has less than a year on his contract at Selhurst Park and the club has in trying to tie him down with a long-term deal.

With the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Raheem Sterling, Armando Broja and Kai Havertz all struggling in front, the Blues may be forced to look for other attacking options when the January transfer window opens.
