Chelsea set to rival Man United for £100m striker

Chelsea have joined the race for Napoli forward and Nigerian star Victor Osimhen, according to the Mirror.

Despite completing moves for a number of high-profile players last month, they are again ready to rival Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain for Osimhen’s signature this summer.

The 24-year-old forward has enhanced his status as one of the best strikers in the world after scoring 15 goals in 20 games for Napoli this season.

The likes of Kai Havertz and Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang have struggled in front of goal this season and Chelsea owners are keen to reinforce the attack.

Napoli will want around £100m for Osimhen, who joined the Italian club from Ligue 1 side, Lille in 2020.

The Naples will no doubt find it difficult to keep the Nigerian star beyond this summer, especially with his rising status.
