Chelsea set to replace Pulisic with £25m-rated Premier League winger

Chelsea are weighing up a move for the Aston Villa forward Leon Bailey if Christian Pulisic leaves the club at the end of the campaign.

Pulisic has had a difficult time at the London club since joining the Blues, and he has not been able to hold down a regular starting berth.

Christian needs to leave Stamford Bridge in order to play regular first-team football, and a move away from the Blues would be ideal for his career in the summer.

Leeds United have recently shown interest in him. Meanwhile, Jamaica international moved to Aston Villa in a £25m deal in 2021.

And Bailey has been quite impressive for the West Midlands club this campaign. Leon has scored three goals in the Premier League, and he could prove to be an upgrade on Pulisic if the London giants manage to get the deal over the line.

The report adds that the 25-year-old attacker is close friends with Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling and it stays to be seen whether they can agree on a fee with Aston Villa for the star forward.

The Jamaican winger was highly rated during his time in the Bundesliga, and he has shown that he has the quality to thrive in the Premier League as well.

The Jamaican is yet to reach his peak, and he could improve further with playing time and experience. Leon can operate on the right side of a front three, and the Blues are in desperate need of someone like him.
