Chelsea set to beat Man United to sign 23-year-old attacker ahead of January transfer

Chelsea sent Joao Felix transfer warning with Atletico Madrid ready to sell

Chelsea are mulling over signing Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix in a loan deal when the transfer window reopens for business in January.

The Blues are in urgent need of reinforcements to bolster their misfiring front line which has further lost the promising Armando Broja to an ACL injury which has sidelined him for the remainder of the campaign.

According to a report from The Telegraph, it is claimed that the Stamford Bridge giants are keen on the wantaway Atletico dangerman Joao Felix who has been widely tipped to leave the Spanish capital in the upcoming January transfer window.

Atletico are braced for offers from the Premier League with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal keeping close tabs on the 23-year-old Portugal international following his fall down the pecking order at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Felix is understood to be out of favour under Diego Simeone in the Atletico fold and after his impressive displays at the World Cup in Qatar, the former Benfica starlet is ready to make the move to the English top flight division.
