Chelsea set to agree deals with two important midfielders
Chelsea are hoping to keep their key midfielders N’Golo Kante and Jorginho at the club for a few more seasons.
While their current contract would expire at the end of this season, the two midfielders can commence talks with interested clubs in January.
However, there are reports that discussions are ongoing on a contract extension.
Jorginho’s agent in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb said that an offer from Chelsea was on the table and confirmed that it’s still their priority to extend with the Blues.
Jorginho also seems to want to remain at Stamford Bridge, having expressed his love for the club.
On the other hand, David Ornstein of The Athletic revealed Chelsea are back at the negotiating table with Kanté after talks earlier this season broke down.
The contract length, however, remains the main issue as Kante wants three years while Chelsea are offering only two with maybe an option to extend.
Chelsea will hope to at least keep one of the midfielders come end of the season.
