Chelsea owners get rejected to buy French club
Chelsea’s new owners attempts to buy more football clubs continues, and there has been plenty of news out on this subject this week and today.
It seems that Todd Boehly and Clearlake Captial are trying hard to buy new clubs across Europe, as well as in Brazil. They had already been rejected by Santos, and now they have also been rejected by a French club as well.
According to The Guardian, Chelsea have had an offer to buy Ligue 1 side Lyon turned down by the club.
The Blues new ownership group appear to be trying to build a network of clubs similar to what we have seen with the Manchester City group and the Red Bull group in recent times.
It’s all part of the ambition from Chelsea’s new owners as they look to build a successful group of clubs to challenge at the very top. They will try now to buy more clubs.
