Chelsea owner Todd Boehly keen to copy Arsenal trick to sign Tottenham star
Chelsea co-owner and acting sporting director Todd Boehly is reportedly looking to launch a similar move to sign Harry Kane.
However, the one that saw Arsenal take Gabriel Jesus to the Emirates from Manchester City last summer.
The Brazilian has made an impressive start to life in London after his £45million move, having scored five goals and registered three assists in his first nine Premier League games so far this campaign
Chelsea spent over £200m in the summer before sacking Thomas Tuchel and replacing the German with Graham Potter, and Boehly could continue the big spending and aim for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
The England captain has less than two years left on his contract at the north London club, and Boehly is reportedly interested in taking the 29-year-old to Stamford Bridge.
“We know that there was interest from Manchester City a few seasons back,” CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs said on The Football Terrace’s YouTube channel.
“Chelsea are the more likely threat coming from the Premier League at the moment. They will look at Harry Kane for sure.
“Todd Boehly is very keen on showing Chelsea can bring in proven Premier League players, particularly attack-minded players.
“They want a marquee name from within the Premier League, they want to bring in someone to hit the ground running, look at Gabriel Jesus, how beneficial he has been to Arsenal.
“Jesus has just been able to transition instantly, Harry Kane would be able to transition instantly.”
However, Harry Kane has revealed recently he’s focus on playing and wining with Tottenham admits transfer spectacular
“I’m focused on Tottenham Hotspur and trying to do my best for us.”
Harry Kane said before his side’s draw with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League.
