Chelsea linked with two right backs as Reece James replacement
Chelsea are looking at plans to bring in another right back in January, or in the summer, as a result of another serious injury to Reece James.
It was initially expected that Chelsea would be waiting until the summer to look at bringing in extra cover/competition for James at the club.
However, with the only natural current option being Cesar Azpilicueta, and also a busy schedule of games even when James does return due to the World Cup, some at the club are considering signing a new right back in January, according to our sources at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea.
The report mentions two names being looked at, but of course, these won’t be the only names being considered.
Chelsea are looking at Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan, and Nelson Semedo from Wolves. Dumfries was a player looked at by Chelsea during the summer as well, but no move was made then. It looks like they might go back in for him though.
