Chelsea in talks to replace Mason Mount with €40m-rated Spanish forward
Chelsea are reportedly considering a possible move for Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino as a replacement for Mason Mount should the midfielder decided against signing a contract extension with the club.
Mount, who has 20 months left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, is yet fresh terms with the Blues, with the Englishman said to have put contract talks on hold until after World Cup break.
However, according to reports, Chelsea are drawing up plans for possible replacement should the worst come to pass. One player that is on the Blues’ radar is 19-year-old Yeremy Pino of Villarreal.
The Spain international is a talented player who played a key role in Villarreal’s Champions League campaign last season, helping the Yellow Submarines’ to a semi-final finish.
Still at the age of 19, Pino still has to develop into a world-class player and he will cost the Blues around €40 million.
