Chelsea board make decision on Graham Potter following 1-0 defeat to Southampton
The Chelsea board have made a decision on Graham Potter’s future fpollowing the 1-0 defeat to Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
According to Matt Law of The Telegraph, the Chelsea board haven’t changed their position on Potter and will continue to back the manager despite fans calling for a change.
It seems Todd Boehly and the Clearlake Capital ownership would prefer to see Chelsea slide into relegation than make the necessary change in the dugout.
Chelsea’s first-half performance against Southampton at Stamford Bridge was the worst performance by a Chelsea team in years but the ownership are still willing to continue backing Potter.
Fans booed the team out of the pitch following the defeat to Southampton and called for Potter to be sacked but Boehly remains keen on backing Potter.
