Aubameyang and Pulisic to start | 4-2-3-1 Predicted Chelsea lineup vs Manchester United
Chelsea will welcome Manchester United at Stamford Bridge this Saturday evening as they try to secure a good result at home in the Premier League.
The Blues were held to a frustrating scoreless draw away at Brentford in midweek, so they would be eager to put on a better showing versus the Red Devils in this home game.
Graham Potter will set his team up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could opt to make a few changes to his starting XI for this game. Both Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang and Christian Pulisic could get a chance to play from the start in this match at West London.
4-2-3-1 Chelsea Predicted Lineup To Face Manchester United
Defence
Kepa Arrizabalaga will feature in between the sticks for the Blues after securing a clean sheet in his last Premier League appearance. Trevoh Chalobah will probably get the nod to partner up with Kalidou Koulibaly at the heart of Potter’s defence as they try to keep things tidy at the back throughout the 90 minutes.
Cesar Azpilicueta will fill in at right-back while Marc Cucurella hopes to give a good account of himself on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Midfield
Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jorginho will anchor the midfield for Chelsea as they look to get a stranglehold in the game at the centre of the park.
Christian Pulisic might get a start on the left wing while Mason Mount looks to catch the eye from the right flank.
Kai Havetz will probably get the nod to operate as a free-flowing attacking midfielder. The German talent would have to carry most of the creative burden for the West London club while functioning in the number ten position.
Mateo Kovacic and Raheem Sterling will be available for selection on the bench as they await their chance to make an impact in the second half if Potter decides to call upon their services.
Attack
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will probably get a chance to spearhead Chelsea’s attack on his own up top. The Gabon international has to figure out a way to cause a few problems for the Man United defenders this Saturday evening.
Armando Broja will have to be content with a spot on the bench but might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if the Blues are in need of a goal by then.
